Estavillo My rating: 5 of 5 stars The Serpent Woman is a very intriguing and powerful book about woman empowerment taken to the extreme. When I started this book I didn't realize that it was the 2nd book in a series by this author. I quickly found that it can be read just fine as a stand alone, but I will definitely be going back to read the first book. I love crime thrillers and this book did not disappoint. It grabbed me emotionally right from the start. I feel like I should mention that it can be triggering for anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse.
