The Serpent Woman is a very intriguing and powerful book about woman empowerment taken to the extreme. When I started this book I didn't realize that it was the 2nd book in a series by this author. I quickly found that it can be read just fine as a stand alone, but I will definitely be going back to read the first book.

I love crime thrillers and this book did not disappoint. It grabbed me emotionally right from the start. I feel like I should mention that it can be triggering for anyone who has been a victim of sexual abuse.

Von Schlange is a fierce vigilante determined to take down predators who prey on the innocent. As she takes them out, she also saves lives. I found myself immersed in the emotions of this character.

The Serpent Woman delves into the raw honesty of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. It's gritty, it's real and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. I highly recommend this book and give it an easy 5 stars.
